What do you like?
The water clarity is fantastic, giving the water a real sense of depth that is sometimes lost if the water is a little murky. Lighting is great. As for the crop, I think it's best, like you said, to leave room on the left to give a sense of what he's looking at.

Perhaps a 1:1 crop would let you keep the elements on the left, moving him to the right, while preserving the height. Some people aren't a fan of this aspect ratio, but if it works,then it's good!

The only thing I can see is that the lefthand side of the image is busier than the right so ideally there should be weeds on the right too to frame the turtle better...

Outstanding photo. Very clear and sharp and an outstanding model. What type of camera/lens are you using for underwater photography? The lighting on the turtle is excellent too.

justincbongers@ViewsOfParadise I shot this photo with a D70, the computer is suggesting 11mm. Although it was shot such a long time ago I'm almost sure it was shot with a 16mm Fish Eye, but the housing dome makes it even wider. There are two Ikelite Strobes off each side of the housing,

justincbongers@wbadecs I've always thought that. I took this pic 6 years ago and I can never figure out just where I want to crop it. I think because I know in my head the turtle ends up going to the right I want to give that vibe that thats what hes going to do. I'm going to play with it again, maybe I can see through it.
