- This was taken in Chicago. The helicopter was going up to the top of the building next to our hotel and taking the letters of the sign down one at a time and dropping them in the street. It was pretty entertaining.
I could resist this picture with clock and father-time in the fore-ground of the helicopter down so close to all the building. - Others also liked:

G'day Steve, Well this is a sight you wouldn't see every day then. Good for you in catching such a contrasting and very interesting scene in the windy city. The clarity, depth, highlights and colours are superb and show off all the action and detail perfectly. I like how Father Time is holding that hourglass, so symbolic to me in this image of the history of flight that has culminated in this incredible fixed wing aircraft.. GB D!

I suggest adding some Motion Blur to the rotors so the chopper does not look so much like it is dropping out of the sky. (Justathort!) ;-)

The old clock and buildings have such photographis potential.The helecopter and camera on hand at the same time.Does not happen often...wd on grabbing the shot

As i see this shot more of a photo journalist shot one could have brought in some detail as to what the copter was actually doing.As a street/architecture shot the clock, building at rear and the lamp post in contrast with the modern glass buildings deserve another visit.Ps polorising filter would have taken care of the sky colour to some degree
