This is great :) I love how you've captured him being quite shy. The details are amazing and very nicely taken. And I really like the colours, they're very natural and work well against the black backdrop.:)

Apart from the lint areas you mention i,m not sure that the black backgroud adds anything to the image.Its a tortoise in...?I might be missing something though
