Great shot. I think the DOF is good and the right F-Stop was used. I like how the stones gradually lose detail as they get further away. I feel as it is a street cat, (a very gorgeous street cat that makes me wanna give him a big hug,) the detail in the stones at the front compliments his habitat. I hope he is a happy cat.

What do you like?
I love the cat, with the intense eyes! It seems very ferral and must have been difficult to get close to?
Also, it has a nice and distant look in its eyes.26 January 2012What would you improve?
I see you used F10 as your apperture. Since the background is quite noisy I would have loved to see a smaller F-stop to isolate the cat even more.
If I follow the line of sight where the cat is looking I think the picture is a bit unbalanced. The cat is looking out on the left of the picture which is where my eyes are then also drawn to. The right side of the picture is then unneccesary and could be cropped away.
Finally, :-), I also think the picture is very saturated, it might be good to desaturate it a little and give it a more sereen look. -
