i think the large negative space on the right helps create that sense of cameflouge, as you 'pan the landscape' for the owl. amazing camoflouge!

What do you like?

Lives up to it's title, nice level of detail

What would you improve?

Colours are flat with lack of contrast which attracts my eyes to the negative space ... I think the real problem is the lighting was dull at the time of the shot; unfortunately natural light is something none of us have much control of - waiting can sometimes be the only option.

You could boost the clarity / localised contrast / saturation in post production, but you can't reproduce perfect light afterwards.
