What do you like?
Nice picture and I love the atmosphere of the entire work.
26 February 2012What would you improve?
But, also, I think it would have looked way better if the subject wouldn't be centered.

This is definite improvement over the previous version you uploaded.

SleeplessDesigns@CraigHarris thanks. i never considered what it'd be like without the vignette effect, and now that i see it, i think i like this alot more than my original

may i ask what camera you use and how many pixels it is?
25 February 2012-

SleeplessDesigns@modedial the one i used for this picture was a Fujifilm FinePix A170, which is a 10 megapixel camera (i think) but i've upgraded from that as that camera was just a 'point and shoot' digicam that only offered programmed settings. I'm sure i chose the 'landscape' setting on the camera for this shot.

anniyawn@SleeplessDesigns I love it! It is so peaceful yet emotional! And the monochrome just adds so much dimension to it. Great job!

SleeplessDesigns@Arianrod thanks for the feedback.
26 February 2012Back then, i wasn't aware about the rule of thirds, infact, i knew nothing about photography whatsoever. To me it was 'take a picture and hope for the best'. But know i have more knowledge, i aim to try and follow guidelines such as the rule of thirds for a better picture :-)
Arianrod
26 February 2012Well, sometimes is good to avoid the rules, but in this case, you could try to see how it would look like cropping the pic. :) Just give it a try
SleeplessDesigns@Arianrod I tried cropping, so that the tree was on the left and the ones in the background remained (i tried the other way around, tree on right but there were a couple of trees in the back that remained which ruined it for me), and i have to admit, i think it looks really nice. From now on, i'm going to explore every possibility whilst editing to see how the picture would look over all. Thanks for the tip :-)
