What do you like?
Love the tone, Love the texture in the fence and the grass.

I'd have cropped alot more of the sky, I think it is a little over bearing. I think a narrower crop would emphasize the legnth of the fence.

adamregan@barrington Many thanks Barrington - and you may be right about the crop - but the proportions are a discipline I like to work within for this series in particular.

What do you like?
I like the lines in the composition and the solitary tree to the right on the horizon.

It looks a bit over-sharpened to me. I would probably crop a bit from the top (1/3 of the sky?) because the upper part of gray sky doesn't add much. Additionally, it would change the width/height ratio and create a more panoramic view emphasizing the lines.
And something I noticed that's not specific for this picture: you probably need to clean your sensor. I see some specks in the upper right corner.-

adamregan@bjorn Thanks Bjorn - yep, sensor was very dirty from changing lenses in less than sanitary conditions - I cleaned up my master files, but made these web copies before I'd done a final pass.

I keep my landscape shots the same width/height ratio, and in this one I included quite a lot of sky because it added a third texture, but as you will see from Barrington's comment below, you are not alone in favoring the panocrop.
