I don't know if you intentionally make this photo white. If not, this could happen because de angle of the sun hitting your lens.
You can have good textures or shadows when shooting through wire mesh. For that, you can vary your position, looking for shadows on the mesh.
Another thing i would do is more post processing. Enhacing blacks or giving more contrast could make a more impactant shoot (More black te the body and more yellow to the "nose" (sorry for my English)).
About composition, you can cut a little of the free space of the right or top, to give more importance to the idea of what it could be watching, considering it beautiful eyes. -

i see the color so light ,,i dont know if you use some diting program as photoshop express on line or other ,i think increasing a bit the color ,,it would be good
