What do you like?
Perfect balance of fine detail and contrast. The slightly off centre symmetry works very well too. I also very much like the balance provided by the rock in the foreground, against the larger mountain body in the background.

A tiny niggle, but if a little of the detail on the foreground rock could be rescued, I think it would go a long way. As I said, I like the balance, but the extreme contrast does make it a tiny bit distracting.

This photo really draws in the viewer and I find myself studying all of the detail in a seemingly simple photo. Very Ansel-y. I like the foreground, but I also see potential in a more panoramic view pulling the horizon down. To me, the magic is in the right third, in the very subtle shades of gray in the receding hills.

i love the symmetry of this shot and your choice of B&W. The rock is the only thing that brakes it up which i enjoy because it gives more depth to the picture.

This is really beautiful. I love the choice to have this in black and white and I love that even though this is a land scape you haven't lost the little details in the foreground (the rocks on the bottom of the lake that you can still see in the shallower water).

I think I would try experimenting with cloning out the black rock that is sitting in the foreground of your photo. To my eye it is so black and so much contrast between it and the white water my attention is immediately drawn there instead of to the mountains and their reflection. I don't mind the idea of that entire area being bare especially because you can still see the texture of the lake bottom at the bottom of our image. Once again, beautiful picture, and great framing.

Crikey this is good. I love that you've done it in b&w. The reflection is spot on and the graduation of the hills is just fantastic. The rock in the foreground just fills that particular bare area really well. At first I thought I didn't like the sky but I actually think it works well particularly in the water as you have managed to capture quite a few different tones from the opposite side of the lake to the near shore.
