Great catchlight in the eyes. I love the idea you have going on here and the fact that you didn't edit out the freckles. I think it is cool that only the edge of the leaf is in focus.

The only thing that comes to mind is if the reflection in the eye was slightly higher or less intense, other wise nothing at all

This is all about the eye...that beautifully clear eye. I like the use of the leaf and like the way it is superbly placed to the corner of her eye so the leaf vein leads you in. Original and very, very good.

I think you mean the catchlight? To me that is one of the most important thing in the picture. That is the thing I look for when I do portraits.
And yes, the eyes are the mirrors of the soul. If you go through my photo's you will find more pictures from this girl with both eyes :) -

i think you can take other shot with the leave ,showing the eyes here as the most nicest expression ,remember the eyes tell stories how you are -
