What do you like?
I like the nature plant ,i think this image belong to darkroom category ,as you use a completely dark -room to do the shot ,I think its a nice image I like the composition ,and capture,,maybe need to build more clear effects of the light here,I like the creativity ,Making a macro -image it should be clear in details -good creativity

I think you can get another shot as this but you can improove the use of light here -the ligh should take the plant and get a clear color image ,when you editing the image try to use photoshop on line expres (,if you dont have photoshop program) get windows live gallery it comes with a lap top ,they have a good adjusting light ,bhrigting ,shades ,and also sharpenig ,the exposure is very important to increase the quality of the image ,but if you work good this image could have better effects ,,

The way it's turned into something abstract by the way it's lit.

You need to control the light better. It's a little to bright on some edges and the little line at the top left seems to be coming out of nowhere. Perhaps you can use some black cardboard to prevent the light from spilling around. Also, the image is a bit blurry. Maybe increase the aperture and make sure the camera doesn't move while taking the shot. Getting focus right can be a problem in the dark. Go manual if possible on your camera.

Can you share some thoughts about what you were trying to do with this image? It appears abstract to me. Soft focused with points of light, too soft to render a realistic image of the subject. There is a lot of interest with the sharp contrast in light and the variation in colors, but the composition doesn't really lead to a specific point or purpose. I think this is a great idea that you could develop into an interesting shot.
