personally i find the background to be a little insipid, showing nothing of the locale... but i do realise one does not always have choice and has to press the shutter as soon as in focus as they can be away in the blink of an eye...

You can try other angles and other backgrounds,but knowing how hard it is to take a foto like this(bugs and bees) I think it's just awosome the way it is

With the amazing detail in the wasp I imagine the depth of field would be amazing too but the plain background just doesn't add to the image. IMHO if you had a way to show that lovely creamy dof that you usually see in magnifications like these that would simply blow away this image!

I hate wasps but I love this shot! Its got amazing colour to it, was caught brilliantly, and is in such crisp detail. Overall, its a great shot!

The exposure of this overall photo appears dull.. Try adding more contrast. Watch the edges as well.. the wing to the left is a little too close to the edge.. something to be concerned about when you think of printing.
