Photography is a matter of starting and learn how to walk, stumbling, getting up again and getting better......You have proved to us already that you can deliver real fine shots especially the macro ones and that you have a good understanding of compositon and dof, so this one leaves me a bit puzzled here....For me the background is way too busy or cluttered, I would have liked it if you had photographed the most beautiful leaf against a very simple background (like your flowers against the brown/orange one) It would make the leaf's beauty stand out so much more, also your iso is incredibly high here therefore prob also the noise but once again very good try :)

i like the colors of the fall. its well done
28 SeptemberWhat would you improve?
i would like the depth of field to be masked for the other leaf that distracts the composistion

What do you like?
Great colours and focal point with nice detail.

The background is rather cluttered...if you could get a `cleaner` background as in your photo `Secret World` it would have helped.

i think the Dof should be in the center ,taking off the blurry of the big leave..or i think you can move the image to get the small leave as the center ,if you keep the image ,it can be better Dof here .if you put the small leave as the base and the big leave above ,,i hope this help ,but i love the image -when you move it ,,try that the big leave is the back of the photo ,and the blurry will became the background,as it normal happens in good capture
Kelsi@Evve Thanks for the feedback :)
29 OctoberI admit that I didn't really think about the composition while shooting here, or how the background would effect it. I do think it would've been hard to get simple background, since this was in a very.. tree-filled area, but I definitely could've tried more or just skipped this shot altogether. Thanks again!
Evve@Kelsi You should see my "mistakes" in photography, one need a containter in order to get rid of them ;)
