Hi Ben, the shot below is the original unprocessed shot just resized but not cropped……distance about 2ft taken at 12.16pm on a bright day with the sun behind the clouds. Compositionally I think the un-cropped pic works well but just wanted to show you can crop images without masses of image degradation and therefore not get hung up about getting every shot without cropping which is almost impossible anyway

HI Steve. Nice image of the damsel fly. No noise in the background. :) I like the composition and the vibrant blue color.
What would you improve?
It looks like the focus might be off a bit, as the head and eye isn't as sharp as it should be, but the weed head in front of him is nice and sharp. I see you picked up a few cobwebs, which is really cool!

Yes sorry I posted the one where only the plant had been sharpened whereas this one the insect has been too! Its almost a 50% crop as well
