- 1/1600s f/5.6 ISO 800 300mm
- So I bought myself a 2x telephoto converter as an Xmas present to myself and finally managed to get out today and take some shots.
Unfortunately the Exif data is not 100% correct, this was at 600mm not 300mm. It was my first outing so I wanted to keep my exposure as short as possible, using the converter I loose more light but still managed to get down to iso 800!

@RussBill here is a version with more tree in it ;) it's also a bit lighter. I had to crop out some of the left as there was a house in the background which kind of detracted from the natural look of the photo. I was also tempted to crop the tree to the right but it didn't seem too bad having it in. Let me know what you think.
I like the tone of this photo. It's a little on the dark side, but I think that adds to the attraction, and for me, the tree is the focal point - what a beauty. The lighter deer, and the foreground add a nice contrast to the darker forest behind.Helpful 1 26 January 2015
