great composition and i like the sun shining through. the statue is a bit dark on my screen though. would be interesting to see if some faint fill flash could have helped, without sashing out the shadows
@michael Good point. I didn't think about providing context for the image. I don't a wider shot. The Tom Lee memorial is very challenging to shoot, compositions can be very awkward because of what surrounds the Memorial, so I opted for a "detail" shot and left it at that.
I don't know this statue (never been in memphis) but looking at this photo it makes me curious what that man is doing there. Do you also have a wider shot of this statue?
