i have a pc an i don't find it to bright, the middle bottom stream is but thats do to exposure time. i love it, its great, i live in the smokies i have a ton of falls, an this is good. wish i could get the look outs over the mtns better no mater what day clear r not uv no uv they just don't come out great, just good
@fik - do use a PC? This is a problem I've noticed. I use a macbook, and everything will look great on my computer, and if I print it or view it on my wife's PC notebook or my work PC, it is too light. Obviously an issue with my computer, but wondering if it is an issue with just mine or all mac notebooks.
A longer shutter time would definitely smooth everything out more. If it is too long, you can start losing detail in the individual streams of water and it would start tending toward a larger mass.

by jcrusso 14 September 2010Love the water trails - I would have made the blacks a bit more punchy on the rocks to make the water stand out - add a bit of contrast maybe?
by scottanderson 13 September 2010very nice composition but i think it's too bright.. :-)
by fikistiqlal 13 September 2010WOW, magical, great exposure!

by jcrusso 6 September 2010@jcrusso Thanks for the info :) Nice! What is your experience with the long shutter time? Would 5 seconds make it even smoother or not?
by Aljan 5 September 2010 in reply to jcrussoThanks! It's an HDR, the shutter times were 1/2, 1/8, and 2 seconds.
by jcrusso 4 September 2010How long was your shutter open on this shot? Like the motion and smoothness in the waterfalls :) It feels like it lives a life, cool!
