maybe the texture´s a bit too heavy, I´d change the trasparency, the overall shot is very nice, good light and nice model.

Thank you all, @Lorena S. anyone is welcome to critique. It's will make me think about things and take them with me in my future shots.

As for retouching the skin. I don't do that :) (anymore) I'm not good at it, and I prefere natural skin texture and tones. I have this talk often, for more people say to me I sould work on skin in my portraits. If there is a pimple I will remove it, but that is about as far as it goos. My daugther is 14 and I do hate the way the ideal is forsed on her in every possible way. Perfect skin, perfect figure, perfect teath, perfect breasts, perfect nails and so on and so on..

Now will my picture get prettier if it's retouched? I guess so for a lot of people it will but most of the time people like my shots the way they are (regarding the skin) and that's good enough for me.

someone had to come with the critique haha :) I guess this time it´s me. I agree with what has been said in the other comments but, as a photo retoucher, I really think that you should have worked on her skin and try to even the tones. On the other side, I can see the texture on her hands and part of the dress - that´s something that I would have tried to erase..

As a final word, I just want to say that I love the light (I suppose it´s Sunlight coming from the right side of the pic) - so warm, it really brings love feelings and the expression on her face makes me think about the sadness that she feels because the one that she´s waiting for is not coming.

I love the tone, the mood and the entire composition. Prop wise a slightly older umbrella would have given a more period effect.
