Magnificent model! If her face wasn't so, so bright and if the right side of her body was a bit darker - important to say this is only my preference and not a photo tip -, I'd be hooked on this picture because it'd be such a great tease! I'd see her face and how pretty she is, but would have to kind of fill in the blanks for the rest. Nice job!

I liked this! Had that "burlesque-chic" vibe coming out from the picture! :) really clever use of the table lamp. Just curious, I personally feel her head shld be facing the camera, another reason why this pose? :)

Love the idea. Love the pattern on the lamp. Love her dress. Love her pose.

Only negative thing is the light. But I understand you did best you could, it happens.
Great job nevertheless. :) -

great use of available light, I agree with jianyang it has that " "burlesque-chic" vibe "

I don't think the writing in the bottom left works as well in this image as it does in some of your other work.
whilst I can understand the comments about reflectors and lighting to add to the image, I think you have developed a great style and therefore this lighting really works for you! -

thank you Zee & Curban! I dont know how to tag/mention people yet :/

yes I read about that just recently aswell on some website, but so far I havent put a lot of preparation into taking pictures, usually I go for the light that I have available at the moment.
But I have another shoot coming up in 2 weeks and I will def think about the reflector ;) -

Welcome to Focussion! Liking your posts so far, this being my fav of the two. I agree the face is a little washed out and if i`m being picky I think the stray shadow above the lamp should be removed in pp (clone or patch healing tool in Photoshop) As for a reflector, just grab some stiff white card from an art shop, it works wonders! Hope this helps, looking fwd to seeing more.

Still very pretty. I like how the bright light really brings out her beautiful eyes. Reminds me of a rim light shot hard shadows on one side and a bright light right on the front.

Thank you all for your feedback ;)

Yes its a bit overlightened on the spots where she is too close to the lamp, but it was my only lightsource (since I dont have a proper lamp and atm cannot afford reflectors) so I tried to use it the best way I could. -

Exploration is the key, always trying turning and playing with light, keep on doing what you are doing.. Cool.

Exploring is, in that case, mainly in the viewer's brain, I would dare to say! :)

I find this a bit strong on the magenta tint, but the position is nice and I like the kind of smile she has.
I agree that the lighting should be a little more worked: this is often the most important thing to take care of when shooting portraits. -

With only one lightsorce it is difficult to get detail everywere. I like it but I do feel the light is a bit bright on some areas

nice outifit! strong light on the right though keeps the details a bit on the dark side, would like to see this with a reflector or someting giving shape to the left.

22 May 2011The photo's feel would have totally changed if she was facing the camera, maybe in a negative way. The mysterious smile and face away from the camera kinda implies the model is shy, which just adds to the quality of the photo.
I know you dint ask me, but just couldn't resist :P
