What lenses are you using?
I'm wondering what kind of lenses you're using. This is my lens set:
Tamron 28 - 75mm F2.8 (Not rock solid, but very sharp!)
Tokina 11-16mm F2.8 (Love it)
Canon 70-200mm F4 (Prefer F2.8, but it's very good!)
I use these lenses on my Canon EOS 40D.
So, what are you using? :-)

Do not use 18-55 kit - too SOFT

I use 18 - 55mm sony kit lens and a tameron 70 - 300mm f/4-5.6 (I favor my tameron) But I am just starting out. Does anyone have any recommendations on a particular lens that would be good for portraits on a sony A330 D?4 April 2011

@Aljan i'm shooting with a:14 March 2011
18 - 55mm canon kit lense
70 - 300mm f/4-5.6 canon zoom
canon 500D body
but the next lense on the list is def a wide angle. i'm keeping an eye open for a second hand one, so its just a matter of time now..
probably my most used 'lense' is my first digital point and shoot, Nikon coolpix3200. that camera is a machine that just can't break. it doesn't take world class photos, but, i can take it out more often as my SLR isn't always practical. i firmly believe point and shoots have a place in a photographers pocket
wow, we have great gear around here - listen, I´m gonna steal it all from you and sell it :)) I´ll be rich!12 March 2011
Haha, that´s a joke!
I have these 3 :
Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5 - which came with the camera
Tamron 70-300mm F/4
Nikkor 50mm f/1.8
And I use them on a Nikon D80 :)
@stran9e In fact, I'm looking more and more upon a bridge (yes! yes! I know) like the Panasonic FZ 100 or the upcoming Fuji Finepix HS 20 EXR because they're compact and light, with Full HD video capability and huge zooms from 24mm to 600mm (35mm equiv.)12 March 2011
I'm waiting for some complete tests on the Fuji to make my decision.
I use a ZUIKO OLYMPUS 9-18mm (18-36mm equivalent in 35mm) for most of my pictures. It's mounted on a Panasonic Lumix G1 (Micro 4/3rd format) through an adaptator.12 March 2011
Now, I'm in need of a tele zoom lens, something strong like a 100-600mm but small, not white, and light. This is going to be very hard, I know! :)
My standard lens is:12 March 2011
Canon EF 24-105mm/f4L attached to my 5 D MK II
Tamron macro lens 90mm [which I used with my Canon 30D].
Unfortunately, I am stuck with a few kit lenses... :(12 March 2011
Nikon 18-55mm f/5 (Like really? f/5? Sad day. D:)
Nikon 55-200mm f/4.2 (Actually, I love this lens more than I should haha.)
And I love love love my Nikkor 50mm f/1.8. :D Use it most of the time.

Hi Aljan,11 March 2011
As you put it, my lens set is:
Canon EF 24-105mm/f4L (On the camera most of the time and my walk around lens)
Canon EF 70-200mm/2,8L
Canon EF 50mm/f1,8 Mark II (For the price, a superbly sharp lens. Should be in everyone's kit)
Canon EF 100mm/f2,8L Macro
Tokina wide angle. Forgotten the f-range. (I'm not at home....;))
I had the Tamron you have on my 20D and used that for the most part of like 3 or 4 years. A great lens indeed.
