Home is changing
Hi guys,
The homepage of Focussion is changing. It's now easier to switch from category and see the trending (before 'most liked') photos. We want you to switch quick and give even better feedback.
Don't forget to use the arrow keys to browse through photos or thumbnail-pages.
We also had the idea that the 'notification' page wasn't on the right place, so we replaced it to home, in the small tabs and renamed it to 'timeline'.
Hope this works even better. :-)

@roderikk Yes, an icon sounds nice, maybe next to the 'settings' icon.
And I agree with you about the description. :-) Going to put it on my list.

@Aljan, Yes, that sounds handy (maybe even a little icon next to the username :-) ).
The feedback would be just a way to 'reward good behaviour' I guess. How a picture is taken is often as important as the picture. This way people can also be rewarded to post pictures that don't really work (yet) and ask the question, with a good description of their intent, 'why is this picture not working (yet)'.
Btw, the timeline (notifications) are available from the homepage. But I'm going to bring it back to your profile, like it was in the first place. This timeline can be very handy to reach directly from your username-link in the sidebar.
@roderikk Thanks. Yes, a real back button would be useful, I'll think about that. And about the description, I like the idea. Because if the photographer tells more about how he/she took the photo that could be very helpful. But you can't mark feedback from the photographer as helpful either, so that would be a bit weird maybe. I'll consider it in a next feedback kinda update. Thank you very much for thinking with me :-) And @Kanonkop too! Haha.

@roderikk i agree that it would be nice to encourage photo descriptions in some way. since this is a community, it helps to stimulate conversation over the picture, and to get to know the various members of the site when there is some background.

by kanonkop 23 februaryHi @Aljan,
Great work. It takes a bit of getting used to. It would be nice to still be able to switch from a picture back to the trending photos and/or the timeline.
Also, I notice that not many people post a (elaborate) description of their picture. In order to learn better from other peoples shots, what I think is a great use of this site as well, would it be nice to also allow a pictures "description" to be marked as "helpful" and gain points for that as well?
