Cloud - storage
Do any of you use the Cloud storage system for your photo's and if so, would you recommend it?

oh, check out a site called 'photobucket' - online storage to photography... think it has more free space that dropbox

i use drop box as well, but its just for storing JPEG's of my portfolio. there are some other cloud type options, but they have more options, etc, which you don't really need if you just want to stores photos.

I do use DropBox occasionally for file transfer between my iPad and desktop, or when I want an easy means of sharing photos with a client. For actual "cold" storage of my images, though, I use dual external drives, as well as a small external that I carry with overnight temporary storage.

I guess I'm not ready to trust irreplaceable images to something as ethereal as Internet storage. Not much comfort in banking on something called a cloud! d:¬{D -

Hmm, it depends, how many photos/data do you expect to put in the cloud? I use Dropbox for all my files (over 100GB of space), but if you want all your photos in the cloud, that's not enough.
