RAW in Photoshop CS2
Hello,
somehow I can't get my Photoshop CS2 to edit RAW files (or NEF with my Nikon). It says that it doesn't support that file. :(
Can someone help me?

Try the following, available from Adobe, which will convert your raw files to DNG (digital negative) format, which CS2 should work with: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5310

@kavian There is partial support for NEF files in CS2. The files from my D50 open directly in CS2, while later cameras must be run through an external converter that Adobe provides, that convert the newer NEF files to Adobe's DNG format (digital negative). You can get that via this link: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=3582

Frankly, your life will be much simpler if you get yourself a copy of Adobe Lightroom 3 or 4 (3 should run you under $100), which will handles NEF's smoothly and can then pass the image off to your CS2 if you need further processing. -

G'day Kavian,
I am sure they did not make a Plug-in for NEF files for PSCS2, so you are out of luck there.
HOWEVER
If you convert your files to tif you will have no worries. tif files are a bit larger than psd files and are a lossless format so it is quite safe to carry out your usual processing on them.
GB and good luck.
